What drives you?(What makes you so passionate about your work?)
I love food and I have resultantly always loved cooking.
How did you get here and how long have you been in this profession (or been doing what you do)?
November 2016, was when I started this Facebook page and turned my passion into a money making business.
What has been your vision and what do you most love about your work?
My mama’s recipes, that I got as a gift from my older generations has been something I love the most. I love my work because I love desi food and I want to get the younger generations back to it.
What do you think is your biggest achievement throughout your professional journey?
Hmmm when my true food lovers (customers) like my food and give me a 10/10 feedback it makes me the happiest. Returning customers and orders from the same people again for the same meals and new reassure me of my talent and recipes.
What are your current projects and what do you plan on doing in the near future?
In sha Allah in future I would love to own my own food chain in my home city. I would love to see my business grow.
A word of advice you would like to pass on to other women struggling with their start-ups?
I would say that if you have passion for any sort of work and you are certain, you do not need to think a lot about if whether it is worth the risk. Begin working on your start-up from right now. Nowadays internet is the best way for any business to start. When I began with my business I had no experience and neither did I have anybody to guide me. But, I started and am doing just fine now. Lastly, work in your own style and don’t copy somebody just to get a few more likes on your page. The best results are always achieved when you act like who you really are.
