1. An insight on your profession/business?
I am working professionally in development sector from past four years. I've also been a part of an event management organization for more than one year.
2. How long have you been in this profession/running this business?
It has been four years, Alhamdullilah.
3. What has been your vision and what do you love most about your job/business?
The sense of responsibility and challenges are the beauty of development sector. I believe we all are responsible for what our society is right now and if we want to change or do something for our people, we need to start it from ourselves and we need to start if from today. Working in development sector is not a piece of cake, only a passionate lady can do this and I salute all ladies out there, thank you for all your efforts made in the development sector.
4. What do you think is your biggest achievement throughout your professional/entrepreneurial journey along with one BIG challenge?
One case that I consider as my biggest achievement and the toughest challenge happened two years ago in 2014 at the time of Street Child World Cup. I was working with Azad Foundation as communication and media officer at that time when Street Children Football Team Pakistan won a bronze medal for Pakistan in the Street Child World Cup. They were the most popular story for the whole nation as cricket team lost their match against India in T20 games. I cannot express in words how I managed everything and everyone from President of Pakistan to every prominent politician, from popular sports person to every media person, from different institutions to communities. It was just because of the untiring efforts I did for sports for development program which aims to divert street children from detrimental activities back towards society.
And I believe there is a lot more yet to come, InshAllah.
5. What are your current projects and plans in near future?
Currently, I am working on city newsletter named “Our Aman Karachi”. It is basically an initiative by the Commissioner Karachi Division that vows to unveil a more positive side of Karachi and hence spread examples of peace and tolerance. I will be happy if I will be doing a project related to youth development in near future.
6. A word of advice you would like to pass on to working professionals who wish to pursue their career or work on their startup ideas?
Well, I just want to advice one thing; do your work with dedication and honesty. You should do your work with the same commitment and with the same excitement on the 500th day as you did on the first day of your job. If you are ready to learn anything at any stage of your life than nothing or no one can stop you to get your dedication, success will be on your way for sure.
